Permits are released in two waves — 14 days in advance at 7am PST, and again 2 days in advance. They’re booked on Recreation.gov on an hourly basis. One permit covers one vehicle and all its occupants. There are also limited same-day permits with no transaction fee available in person at the Gateway to the Gorge Visitor Center in Troutdale and the Cascade Locks Historical Museum. Or just ride with us and skip the whole process.
